Vegan sweets for everyone
Among our sweet lovers you’ll also find the fastest-growing group in the Netherlands: vegans! Whether they choose this lifestyle for ethical reasons or for religious reasons, we’ve got something tasty for them!
A customer story
Looking for tasty sweets for the kids, I visited the
Mrsnoep website. My attention was drawn to the ‘vegan’ section. In my family, several members can’t have milk. One of my best friends is Moroccan and doesn’t eat pork. Gelatine, often made from pigs, is in many types of sweets. So I was pleasantly surprised that my vegan family and friends had been thought of too. For birthdays I always put together a candy table, which looks so fun with all kinds and colours of sweets. From now on, there will also be
vegan sweets. The explanation you provide is very clear, so I’m sure I’m choosing the right certified sweets for them.
More and more vegan sweets
Vegan sweets are for everyone. New vegans are often afraid they won’t be able to enjoy sweets anymore once they go vegan, but these days nothing could be further from the truth. There’s plenty of choice for vegans too! As companies increasingly see that demand for vegan sweets is rising, the selection keeps growing as well.
How do you recognise vegan sweets?
You can recognise vegan sweets by the Vegan label. If a sweet carries this label, you can be sure it’s plant-based. Sweets without gelatine are halal anyway. But halal sweets don’t automatically mean they’re vegan. Some sweets may contain beeswax or milk, for example, which means they aren’t vegan. So always check carefully whether the sweets carry the Vegan label. Besides vegan sweets, Mr Snoep also offers
sugar-free, allergen-free, and
halal sweets. Something for everyone!
