Klepper & Klepper Spicy Salt 200 grams is a unique soft salty liquorice where the bold flavours of salmiak, Celtic sea salt and seaweed come together. The pentagon-shaped liquorice pieces were developed around umami, the fifth basic taste, giving this liquorice a surprisingly savoury, rich and intense flavour experience. A special choice for anyone who loves discovering something new.
The idea for Klepper & Klepper Spicy Salt 200 grams came about after Klepper Jr. discovered Japanese cuisine and became fascinated by umami. To translate this flavour into liquorice, Klepper & Klepper chose seaweed as a special ingredient. It turned out to be not only a perfect match for the spicy salty liquorice flavour, but also a sustainable choice, because seaweed absorbs CO₂ while it grows. After lots of experimenting, the result was a surprising soft liquorice with a bold flavour that is also vegan and Gluten-free.
