Klepper & Klepper Pittig Zout 200 gram is a unique soft salty liquorice in which the powerful flavours of salmiak, Celtic sea salt and seaweed come together. The pentagon-shaped liquorice pieces were developed around umami, the fifth basic taste, giving this liquorice a surprisingly savoury, full and intense taste experience. A special choice for anyone who loves discovering something new.
The idea for Klepper & Klepper Pittig Zout 200 gram came about after Klepper Jr. discovered Japanese cuisine and became fascinated by umami. To translate this flavour into liquorice, Klepper & Klepper chose seaweed as a special ingredient. It turned out not only to pair perfectly with the spicy salty liquorice flavour, but it is also a sustainable choice because seaweed absorbs CO₂ as it grows. After lots of experimenting, they created a surprising soft liquorice with a powerful flavour that is also vegan and gluten-free.
